Location:Gresham, OR
Position Type:Full time
Schedule:Must be open to working any shift/schedule: days, nights, weekends, holidays, etc. Steady shift will be determined at time of hire.
Pay:$18-20/hr

Position
Summary:
The Gas/Chemical Technician will be expected to work on shift without supervision. This technician will be required to acquire a fundamental knowledge of Specialty Gas and Chemical Products and must develop a functional proficiency in the operation of all Specialty Gas and Chemical Delivery Systems. The technician will be responsible for making rounds and performing preventive maintenance, answering customer alarms and troubleshooting supply or flow issues as well as performing change outs and inventory of gas cylinders and chemical drums.
Education Requirements:
High School Diploma or Equivalent
OR.
Military experience and/or AA degree a plus

Qualifications:
Gas system experience with gas cabinets and valve manifold boxes and panels a plus
Chemical system experience with drums, tote change outs a plus
Must understand safety procedures and willing to follow procedures
Will be required to wear full breathing air packs(SCBA) at times during the gas or chemical changes
Candidate is expected to work on shift without supervision.
Required to acquire a fundamental knowledge of Specialty Gas and Chemical Delivery Systems.
Will perform minor troubleshooting and preventive maintenance, some invasive maintenance and update equipment logs.
Required to achieve an elementary knowledge of Quality Management and be able to communicate effectively using written and verbal skills.
Perform daily rounds at a customer site with minimum supervision.
Daily rounds including the ability to monitor all on-site delivery systems and equipment.
Perform all routine tasks such as, container change outs, bottle deliveries, set up of analytical equipment and properly respond to all customer requests
Provide basic administrative support by managing all cylinder inventories
Verifying purifier set points, recording readings, calibrating analytical equipment, completing safety surveys, monitoring inventory levels and verifying monitoring systems.
Previous electro-mechanical systems experience
Experience with hazardous materials
Understanding clean room protocol
Desire to learn new hands-on skills, work in a team, and become familiar with a fab/clean room environment
Ability to effectively use hand tools, meters, scopes, and other pertinent specialized equipment
Willingness and ability to follow procedures and adhere to safety protocol
Ability to pay attention to details, and willingness to learn and adapt to your surroundings
Ability to provide exemplary customer service
Organizational skills, initiative, and self-discipline
Comfortable interfacing with members of various departments
Flexibility to work various shifts(days/nights/weekends), overtime, holidays or stand-by
Posses a valid driver's license
Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screen
Basic computer skills and internet access

The employee must have strong manual dexterity as he/she is occasionally required to sit and climb or balance as you may be required to work at elevated heights(i.e. on ladders, stools, or other assistive devices)
The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to ten pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to fifty pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move more than one hundred pounds
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus with strong hand to eye coordination
Ability to work in constrictive attire, wearing appropriate personal protective safety equipment as required, and sit or stand for prolonged periods of time
Capacity to work rapidly for long periods of time when needed, including routinely bending, stooping, reaching, walking, and standing in one location
